Public Relations

 Public Relations

You like people. You enjoy having meaningful conversation and building relationships. You are a strong writer who often uses a thesaurus to find the “perfect” word. You thrive under pressure and deadlines. You can be an effective team member, or lead and motivate a group of people, whichever you are called to do. You belong in Public Relations.

With Public Relations as your emphasis, you will write and implement strategic message campaigns that will build mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics. You will discover the strategy and power behind integrated marketing communication. You will learn the art of building a company’s brand from within, then developing programming that meet objectives based in research. You will become adept at managing messages for the diverse populations and platforms, including online communities.

You and your student colleagues will research industry trends, sharpen your writing skills, plan actual events and evaluate their implementation. You will leave Waldorf with the skills to combine new technology with strategic communication to implement effective public relations plans. Your education at Waldorf will prepare you to begin your exciting career as a bridge between companies and their stakeholders.
